Avoska Gives Hope

The Avoska Gives Hope project was founded in 2009. Avoska is a proven alternative to plastic bags. Weaving them completely blind people. Over the course of the project, more than 500 thousand vehicles were sold, which corresponds to the employment of 250 people with visual loss during the year. Each hired worker (and these are the blind from Moscow and the Moscow region, Chuvashia, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod and Ryazan regions) receives a stable order of 2,000 cars a year and a decent salary. The project has its own store in the center of Moscow called Avochnaya Lavka. In 2018, the Vinchel Foundation supported a project to create a mobile “Avosechnaya shop” – an electric car. With its help, the author of the project, Yevgeny Rapoport, hopes to increase sales, and, consequently, the employment of blind workers.
